G. Robert Blanchard, Jr. is Chairman and CEO of WRB Enterprises, a diversified holding company with more than 50 years of experience in the U.S., the Caribbean and Latin America. WRB Enterprises is the owner of WRB Energy, a renewable energy development company in the Caribbean and Latin America. Bob is also a founding partner of WRB Serra, an investment firm focused on renewable energy, energy efficiency, and water infrastructure. For 26 years (1994-2020), WRB Enterprises was the majority shareholder of Grenada Electricity Services (Grenlec), where he served as Chairman. WRB Enterprises also previously owned majority interests in and successfully divested two other electric utilities: Turks and Caicos Utilities (TCU) and Dominica Electricity Services (Domlec), both of which Bob served as Chairman. WRB Enterprises is a significant shareholder in two of the largest commercial banks based in Florida: The Bank of Tampa, which is a privately owned bank with over $1.4 billion in assets; and CenterState Banks, which is publicly traded (NASDAQ: CSFL) with more than $5 billion in assets. Bob serves on the Boards of Directors of both banks. Bob is also an investor in private and public companies and has extensive business and government relationships in the U.S. and the Caribbean. His family holding company has owned and managed businesses in the electric utility, renewable energy development, water and wastewater treatment, telecommunications, banking, industrial controls, heavy equipment distribution, manufacturing, ranching, and mitigation banking sectors since 1952. In addition to his business activities, Bob has been heavily involved in community organizations in Tampa for many years, including the Tampa Metropolitan YMCA, The Florida Aquarium and the Moffitt Cancer Center. He is a past member of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Committee of 100 Advisory Board, and the Ybor City Development Corporation. Bob graduated from Emory University where he received a BA in Political Science and a BA in Philosophy.
